Find us at a local market for great deals and good times!

Niagara Escapement attending local markets is the perfect opportunity for our crafty owner, Cecilia, to showcase what we do along with her nerdy crafts. We love supporting local markets and can't wait to share our tent and excitement with everyone there.

Why Local Markets Matter

Local markets are more than just places to shop; they're hubs of creativity, culture, and connection. By attending these markets, you’re not only finding unique, handcrafted goods -you're also supporting the local economy and fostering a sense of community. Here are some key reasons to explore local markets in Niagara Falls:

  1. Unique Artistry: Many local artists showcase their work at these markets. From stunning paintings to intricate jewelry, each piece tells a story. Purchasing directly from artists not only supports their craft but also ensures that you’re taking home a piece of the local culture.

  2. Supporting Small Businesses: Local markets are a lifeline for small businesses, providing them with the opportunity to reach a wider audience. When you buy from local vendors, your money stays in the community, helping to create jobs and sustain local economies.

  3. Culinary Delights: Niagara Falls is known for its diverse food scene. Local markets often feature fresh produce, artisanal breads, handmade cheeses, and gourmet treats. You could find your new favourite place. (We found Bone Apple Teeth bakery at a market in St.Catharines last year!)

  4. Engaging Experiences: Many markets host live music, workshops, and demonstrations. These events offer a chance to learn something new, enjoy live entertainment, and connect with fellow community members.

Our next confirmed markets:

  3. Niagara Falls Renaissance Faire: May 2025.

How to Get Involved

Attending local markets is a fantastic way to support your community, but there are other ways to get involved:

  • Spread the Word: Share your favorite finds on social media to promote local artists and businesses.

  • Volunteer: Many markets rely on volunteers for setup and operations. Getting involved is a great way to meet people and learn more about the community.

  • Attend Workshops: Look for opportunities to participate in workshops hosted by local artists, which not only support them but also enrich your own skills.

Conclusion

Exploring local markets in Niagara isn't just about shopping; it’s about connecting with the community, supporting local talent, and celebrating the unique culture of the area. Whether you’re picking up a handmade gift, savoring local delicacies, or enjoying live music, each visit strengthens the bonds within our community. So next time you’re in the Niagara area, make sure to check out the local markets and immerse yourself in the creativity and passion that define this beautiful region!
